What is SMP?

Scalp Micropigmentation

Is a non-surgical solution to hair loss that uses pigment to replicate the appearance of a shaved head. By creating the look of natural hair follicles, SMP restores the illusion of fullness and is ideal for both complete baldness and areas of thinning. Whether you're in the early stages of hair loss or further along, SMP provides immediate, low-maintenance, and long-lasting results.

Before and after image of a persons scalp. In the before image, the persons scalp is visible through the hairline. In the after image, the person's scalp is no longer visible.

How it works?

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure that uses pointillism to create the illusion of hair follicles, adding the appearance of density to thinning or bald areas. Though often compared to traditional tattoos, SMP is more precise and uses specialized pigment and technique.

Does it Hurt?

For some clients, getting scalp tattooing may feel like no more than a minor annoyance. For others, it can cause moderate discomfort. Like other sensations, pain is relative. On a scale of 1 to 10, pain levels may sit around 1 to 4 on average.

Healing

It takes about 4 weeks to heal before we can determine if additional sessions will be required.

The scalp must be healed. This treatment is ideal for both men and women who would like to improve the appearance and fullness of their hairline.

Maintience

Scalp Micropigmentation sessions typically take 2–4 hours, depending on the level of hair loss. Most clients need 2–4 sessions to build up density and achieve the desired look. While results can last for years, SMP is designed to fade gradually and naturally over time.
