AFTER CARE
PLEASE READ THE AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR SPECIFIC PROCEDURE- RECOMMENDED BEFORE YOU BOOK YOUR APPT!
General instructions to keep your tattoo fresh for longer:
-
Exposure to the sun over time can cause fading and discoloration of the pigment. Once completely healed, we recommend applying sunscreen daily on the treated area.
-
Glycolic acid, microdermabrasion, chemical face peel products and laser treatments must be kept away from the tattooed area as continued use could lighten or discolor the pigment.
-
If you are having laser resurfacing or laser hair removal after your tattoo has healed, please inform the laser technician. Continue at your own discretion. Laser procedures may darken, lighten, or discolor the tattooed area.
-
Once the treated area is completely healed, any changes or additions that need to be made can be done at your follow-up appointment no sooner than 4-8 weeks later. It takes about 4 weeks for the brow area’s skin cells to completely regenerate and settle in.
-
There are no implied or written guarantees if you do not take care of your tattoo, and everyone will heal a little differently.
BROWS
Please take a break from any exfoliating anti aging/ anti acne products (retinoids, glycolics, vitamin c, AHA/ BHA, enzyme washes, serums, etc) near and around your brows area at least 2 weeks prior to your session and 2 weeks after for best healed results.
Any treatments such as lasers, peels, waxing, Botox, tinting, etc should also take place 2 weeks prior or 2 weeks after your appt.
-
Blot brows with paper before you go to bed, and apply a small amount of tattoo balm. You will wake up with bold brows - its temporary!
-
For the next 7 days, keep brows clear of water, sweat, working out, steam, soap and makeup!
-
Days 1-10 blot brows 6 times a day with clean tissue.
-
Every morning clean brows gently w/ a damp paper towel & apply rice size amount of tattoo balm
Apply VERY lightly, you should never have wet or greasy looking brows
-
Still be careful to avoid moisture and steam until day 10 & don't remove scabs
-
Brows will flake and scab. No picking or you'll pull out your tattoo! Let them peel naturally
-
On day 10 wash your brows with a mild cleanser and your finger tips to remove any dead skin
After washing, your tattoo will look too light. This is normal, don't panic!
-
More color will come back in a few weeks as your skin heals.
WHAT TO EXPECT
-
Brows may appear reddish and/or darker in color for the first week- this is temporary
-
Sometimes, the tattoo will appear lighter after the dead skin comes off and the color will bloom back to the surface later on.
-
Final results from each session will appear clearly after about 4 weeks, then it will be time for your follow up!
-
What to expect at the second appt? We will assess your results and your skin’s reaction to the process, tweak and adjust anything that’s needed (like- lighter spots) and make sure the color, texture and shape look amazing overall!
-
Repeat the same exact aftercare post second session

-
During the first 4 weeks post procedure refrain from using
exfoliants, acids, anti-aging creams, Neosporin, etc.
-
Your true color will appear in 4 weeks!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Day 1: Your skin will start slowly releasing lymph fluid right after your procedure. This is a common healing process for our bodies! Wipe your lips with water and a cotton round a few times today to minimize scabbing. Before bed apply Aquaphor/ grape seed oil. The color will look the most vibrant today.
Sometimes light bruises may occur, even after the procedure is over. It is normal and will disappear after a few hours.
Day 2: The lips may still be swollen today. Make sure you keep them moisturized with Aquaphor/ grape seed oil (do not apply ice- this will cause bruising).
Day 3-7: Keep moisturizing with Aquaphor as needed! Some light flaking or peeling may occur- this is normal. Do not pick on any dry skin.
After a few weeks: you will notice the actual healed results from your session (you’ll notice a few color changed until then). Patience is key :)
